Police are seeking assistance from the public in identifying the owner of this backpack.
Inspector Ashley Holmes said the backpack, containing housebreaking tools, was found at Thompson’s Rural Supplies when police were called in to investigate a break and enter.
Thieves are believed to have gained entry to the store through the roof, making off with a laptop, clothing and pocket knives between 3.30am and 6am on December 27.
Police have forensically examined the backpack for fingerprints and DNA, and will be reviewing CCTV footage obtained from neighbouring premises.
They are interested in hearing from anyone who might have further information or who noticed anything suspicious that evening.
People are asked to call Young Police on 6382 8199 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
