Monster trucks to roar into Moruya

CARNAGE: EMT Events will bring the Monster Truck Tour to the Moruya Speedway on January 10.A nightof carnage is planned in Moruya on January 10 when the Monster Truck Tour hits the Moruya Speedway.

EMT Events has been travelling the country with the latest monster trucks and leading drivers, wowing full house crowds wherever they go.

EMT spokesman Rusty Bell said the family-friendly night promised to be “hair raising” and “mind blowing”.

“Australia’s leading monster trucks and drivers promise to deliver a night you will never forget,” he said.

“Standing in at over three-and-a-half metres tall, a monster truck’s sheer size tantalises the visual receptors. It’s not until you see them in action that all other senses are pleased.

“Powered by a supercharged 540 cubic inch big block Chevrolet, breathing in pure alcohol and producing over 1500 horsepower they truly are a machine to behold.”

Mr Bell said the trucks would go head-to-head in an all out battle of destruction, from “skywheelie” competitions, a drivers’ challenge and the popular freestyle event.

“That will be just some of the high flying car crushing action that will go down on the night,” Bell said.

The jetcar will also make an appearance on the night, which will end with a fireworks display.
