The longest day, or groundhog day?

Before setting out to see my family – especially the grandkids – for Christmas, I thought I would go armed with some useful information regarding which is really the longest day.

Where should I do my research?

Hey, The NDL would be the perfect place and there it was inside the back page.

17 Dec: Sunrise 5.47am, Sunset 7.57pm.

18 Dec: Sunrise 5.47am, Sunset 7.57pm.

19 Dec: Sunrise 5.48am, Sunset 7.58pm.

20 Dec: Sunrise 5.48am, Sunset 7.58pm.

21 Dec: Sunrise 5.49am, Sunset 7.59pm.

22 Dec: Sunrise 5.49am, Sunset 7.59pm.

23 Dec: Sunrise 5.50am, Sunset 8.00pm.

24 Dec: Sunrise 5.50am, Sunset 8.00pm.

25 Dec: Sunrise 5.51am, Sunset 8.01pm.

Each day: 14 hours 10 minutes long.

I was confused and, now, so are my grandkids.

Can anyone help?
